Who We Are And What We Do

The Legacy Scholars program targets sixth-graders in the Battle Creek Public Schools and Lakeview School District every year and follows them through until graduation. If you are a member of the class of 2012 in either Battle Creek Public or the Lakeview School District, you will be among the first graduating class of Legacy Scholars. It should also be noted that all subsequent sixth-grade classes become Legacy Scholars as well.

It is the goal of the Legacy Scholars program to make sure you and your family get all the help you need to successfully navigate the path through middle school and high school in a timely manner and then help you plan and prepare for college. And if you choose Kellogg Community College , you qualify to receive a two-year scholarship (62 credit-hour equivalent) which pays for tuition and books. Scholarships are “last dollar”, and they are used to supplement any other scholarships or grants you may receive.
