Legacy Scholars is proud of our mission “To provide educational, emotional, social, and financial support and opportunities for Battle Creek Public and Lakeview School District students to graduate from high school and obtain a college degree or certificate”.

This wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in celebration of their 75th anniversary. It is now the responsibility of everyone in the community to sustain this tremendous program and make receipt of a college degree within reach for students in Battle Creek Public and the Lakeview School District.

Your financial support for Legacy Scholars students will touch and change lives and futures. Legacy Scholars are counting on you to help make their dreams of attending and graduating from college a reality.

It is important for the future of a vibrant Battle Creek that you get involved. Now more than ever we need to work together to educate our youth as their education is the key to prosperity. The Legacy Scholars program has the potential to positively impact every student graduating from Battle Creek Public Schools and the Lakeview School District and can only be successful with community collaboration. You might be a community collaborator and already involved. Thank you for your involvement. Or more importantly, you might be the parent of a school aged child and have the tremendous responsibility to provide your child love, support, and guidance. Legacy Scholars and this tremendous group of Community Collaborators are honored to be here to support you and your family should you so desire. You might be a PTA member, or a mentor, or one of many important community volunteers. There are many, many opportunities to enrich the lives of Battle Creek’s youth and everyone involved in the Legacy Scholars program appreciates what you do. We also challenge you to do more.
