I am Nathan. I am in the 8th grade at W.K. Middle School. I have enjoyed some field trips sponsored by the Legacy Scholarship program. A field trip to Kellogg Community College provided some career and college finance information. A field trip to the W.M.U. Aviation College in Battle Creek renewed some excitement for a career in avionics (I used to want to be a fighter pilot!). I would like to fly a plane or go to the moon. I’ve always wanted to get into the air!

The Legacy Scholarship means that I can go to Kellogg Community College for free. It also means that I have great people out there who want me to have the chance to go to college.

I like to play the computer, basketball and baseball. I am on the W.K. Komet swim team and play the violin for the W.K. orchestra. My family is the greatest thing that helps me want to do my best in school. My favorite class is Science (W.K. science teacher, Mr. Knack, is the best!) I have been awarded the Carson Scholarship for 3 years and provided a piano performance at the 2007 Carson award dinner. I volunteer at the Calhoun County Humane Society, volunteer to play the piano for my church once a month and volunteer to play at other functions when asked.
